Thoughts:
A night full of excitement! From the very start, there was a different air on the pool deck than I've felt yet this season. Looking at the stats above it is clear that that energy breeds fast swimming. The depth of our women's team was our strength again tonight and allowed QV women to continue with an undefeated season. The competition was much more fierce for our men's program but QV rose to the challenge. We started the meet behind but quickly caught up until the score was tied at the 500 free. Luckily we still had the opportunity for more fast swims and relay points but after the 200 FR relay we only lead by 2 points and the score was again tied after the 100 back! With a strong performance from our 100 breastroke-rs and a WPIAL qualifying final relay win we were able to take the meet and hold up the "undefeated since freshman year" streak. If one thing had gone wrong, one person had missed an event, not given 100% or gotten DQ we may not have ended on such a happy note. I want to commend you ALL (girls included) on the hard work, energy and team unity that I saw from each and every one of you today. Let's carry this excitement and energy with us throughout our practices and meets for the remainder of our season!
